If the Air Injection Pump (included with the Airlift Windmills) cannot be used because of long horizontal pumping or water levels that do not meet the minimum required submergence, we suggest using the Stauffer positive displacement pump. Stauffer Positive Pumps require 25" to 68" submergence depending on the model. With the installation of this pump, you must tee into the air pressure line, a 7-10 gallon air storage tank with a pressure relief valve set at 125 psi. This tank act as as air storage between pump cycles. This pump requires a 1/2" exhaust from the pump to above the water level and a 1" water discharge to the point of delivery. Air line (100' x 1/2" ) is supplied with the windmill.
The AIRLIFT INJECTION PUMP is included with the purchase of an Airlift Windmill. It needs to be submerged at a distance equal to the distance from the water level to the highest point of delivery. For example, if the water level is 50' down and the tank sits on the ground and is 5' high, then the Airlift Injection Pump needs to be 55' below the surface of the water. If this is not possible, use a Stauffer Positive Pump.
