Global Solar has developed a proprietary process for manufacturing thin-film Copper Indium Gallium diSelenide (CIGS) photovoltaic modules. CIGS PV cells create more electricity from the same amount of sunlight than other thin-film PV technologies. Thus they deliver higher conversion efficiency. CIGS conversion efficiency is also very stable over time, meaning it has no light-induced degradation. CIGS technology is superior under low light level conditions. The operating voltage of these modules is designed for charging 12 and 24 lead-acid batteries. Junction box has wires with Multi-Contact cables. The 6 and 12 watt modules have 1 year warranties. The larger modules have 25 year warranties.
