The PowerPal T1 and T2 Turgo Series is another simple system consisting of a turbine with generator attached. Generator power output is from 660W to 2.0kW depending on head and flow.
The T1 has twin nozzles and is fitted with a 1kW capacity generator as pictured above. All or part of the stream flow is diverted through a 12cm diameter steel penstock pipe and down to the turbine. Output voltage and frequency are controlled by our electronic load controller (with ballast).
The T2 is a single nozzle turgo turbine fitted with a 2kW capacity generator and comes in three quite distinct models: (1) a T2/ 1.5kW model (2) a T2/ 2kW model for medium head sites, (3) another T2/2kW High Head model for higher head sites
The detailed head and flow rate combinations and the electrical power output that these various combinations generate are given in the operations manual that can be set to you via email.
