The Drip is a self-contained and free-standing gravity filter and ensures safe drinking water without pumping. The container holds 10 liter / 2,6 gallons filtered water. The two plastic containers are stacked together and the water drips without additional water pressure through the filter elements in the lower storage container. With wet filter elements the Drip filters in the first hour up to 4 liter / 1 gallon bacteriological safe drinking water. The Katadyn ceramic with a pore size of 0.2 micron reliably holds back all pathogenic bacteria and protozoa such as: giardia, cryptosporidium, salmonella, amoebas, e-coli etc. The used ceramic element can easily be cleaned by brushing the surface with an abrasive pad. A measuring gauge is provided to check the minimum diameter of the ceramic element.
