Sunday, March 24, 2002 - Classical Indian Music: A Benefit Concert for Village Earth

Concert begins at 5 p.m. in the Lincoln Center Mini-Theater, featuring sitar guru, Pandit Shamboo Noth Sopori and his son, Bhushan Sopori, on tabla. A reception following the concert will take place in the Columbine Room of the Lincoln Center, featuring a Village Earth slideshow presentation and an authentic Indian buffet, compliments of the Star of India. Chai will also be served, compliments of the Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant.

Tickets are available at the Lincoln Center Box Office: Concert and Reception costs $18 or $15 for students/seniors. The concert only costs $12 or only $9 for students/seniors.

A rare Calcutta performance will also be available on CD at the event for only $10.
