Reinhold Peter Ziegler is another one of our "should be famous" appropriate technology pioneers. A dedicated adept going back to the '60's, he was involved with the Integral Urban House in Berkeley, Earth Labs, the Farallones Institute, and Aero-Power Systems.

His newest ventures include SYNERGY, an engineering, manufacturing and development organization and DYNAMIS, a research incubator, accelerator and innovation manager.

Synergy is now helping with the Green Wall of China project - a 1 km by 6000 km long reforestation project that's transmuting 100,00 soldiers into agro-foresters in an attempt to stop the dangerous and ever-increasing desertification in southern China.

With an office in Germany and multiple networking partners, Synergy also works as a consultant for emission and greenhouse gas credits, a project developer for EcoVillages and resorts, and as a design and manufacturing team for hydroponic and renewable energy systems and new products.

Along with all this, Reinhold and Synergy maintain a strong and positive attitude: "Communication has become a two way street. You are not controlled by any corporate structure; no one tells you what to think or do. This shift in thinking and doing is running through our entire culture.
