Overview
The Center for the Management of Information (CMI) is a research center in the University of Arizona's College of Business and Public Administration. CMI focuses on the development and application of technology and group processes to support collaborative work. This research is supported by organizations with a common interest in the development of new technologies, best practices, education/training, sharing of new ideas, and insights on computer supported collaboration.

Mission
To explore collaborative concepts by developing, testing, and implementing tools and methods to improve group outcomes.

Director Dr. Jay F. Nunamaker Jr. is widely known for his contribution to the field as both an academician and an entrepreneur. He has published hundreds of research articles, has authored several books, presented at a variety of professional, academic, and government conferences and has been the focus on numerous articles in business magazines including Fortune. Dr. Nunamaker' s expertise is complimented by a number of experienced researchers that comprise the CMI staff and affiliated center fellows.

The Sustainable Village is working with CMI to help redesign refugee camps as ecologically sustainable settlements. For more information about this project, click here.
