The Amazon Coop is a nonprofit organization set up to raise donations and develop sustainable businesses to benefit six Indian tribes of the Brazilian Amazon. Unless these tribes become self-sufficient, their very future is in peril. The group helps provide clean drinking water, medical assistance, and education as well as working to start microenterprises and the preservation of the 6 million hectares of pristine rain forest that these tribes own.
